Thursday August 5th was a very busy day at Elkmont High.  It was the first day back to school for the staff and also open house that evening.  The members of Elkmont and Pettusville U.M.C. wanted to help the teachers start their year off right.  The members went together to bake, cook and order breakfast for the school staff for their first day back to school.  Ladies from both churches met at the school at 7:30 that morning to start decorating the tables and setting out the food.  There was food for the spirit as well in the form of religious tracts provided by the U.M.W. of Elkmont. 

At Elkmont and Pettusville U.M.C. we recognize the valuable contribution each of the school staff members make to the community, churches, and the youth.  We wanted to let them know we are grateful and appreciative of their sharing of their time and talents with the children and youth of the community and surrounding area. 

The teachers were very grateful and enjoyed the breakfast. Thank you to all who helped make this a wonderful outreach and celebration of our community teachers.
